The v08.50 firmware version for the Nokia X3 brings general performance improvements. To get this software through your device, type in *#0000# on the home screen or go to Device Manager. Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, this software release is available through the Nokia Software Updater.

Nokia C6-01 made its first appearance in July but the pics and spec were unavailable. Recently the guys at Mobile Bulgaria posted the pics and specs of the Nokia’s unannounced smartphone. Nokia C6-00 runs on the Symbian S60v5 OS, but it is believed that Nokia C6-01 might run on the latest Symbian^3 Operating System.

Comes in Xperia X10 design, the new Sony Ericsson A8i is announced for China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network. The full touch screen phone features a 3.5-inch touch screen, built in WiFi, GPS, 5 megapixel camera, 854×480 pixels display resolution, microSD card slot and powered by the OMS 2.0 (an Android OS variant).

With the strict button design guideline from Microsoft, you can already imagine what goes below this leaked LG E900 with Windows Phone 7. The leaked detail on the LG E900 says that it will use the same 1.3GHz snapdragon processor as the LG C900. It should be launched in Q4 this year, comes with 3.5mm headphone jack, 3.7-inch capacitive touch screen, WVGA resolution and miniUSB connector.

Our CellPhone Signal folks had taken press image of the T-Mobile HTC G2 handset. The HTC G2 will be T-Mobile first HSPA+ handset, comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and Android Froyo. Although the leaked official picture seems to be a default Froyo UI, the T-Mobile G2 should have the usual HTC Sense user interface as well.

ViewSonic is officially announced the ViewSonic Viewpad 7. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, a front-facing VGA webcam and a 3-megapixel rear camera. Also, it will runs with the latest Android 2.2 (Froyo). The Viewpad 7 has an integrated GSM/3G modem for phone and data connectivity. Its also capable to work as a regular Android phone although you might need a bluetooth headset for a more comfort conversation.

While T-Mobile was the pioneering carrier in the Android world with the launch of the first ever device powered by the platform dubbed the T-Mobile G1, Verizon is really the company that helped make Google’s Android what it is today. If it wasn’t for the Motorola Droid and the immense marketing push behind it, Android may not have become as popular with competiting platforms instead running the show.
