According to a Twitter post by HTC Russia, only the HD2 will get a Windows Mobile 7 upgrade, all other phones will reportedly stick with WinMo 6.5. The translation of the aforementioned Tweet.

For Diamond 2 firmware is not planned. Of the existing communicators on the market, only the HD2 firmware to get WM7.

The Tweet has since been deleted, and we can think of two reasons: some HTC Russia employee spent a bit more in the freezing Russian weather and mistyped a bunch of letters, or it’s the usual PR fluke that happens all the time.
