Users willing to surf net in local languages have a reason to rejoice. Bitstrem India has developed a mobile web browser called Bolt which allows users to browse the net in different Indian languages. The languages are English, Hindi, Bengali, Malyalam, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Gurumuki, Gujarati, Oriya among others.
Bolt browser had created much buzz since it debuted a year ago at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. One of the hallmarks of the browser is that it gives seamless internet experience similar to that of desktop browser and can be accessed by lower end mobile phones too.
Meanwhile, it is believed that since the browser can be accessed by lower end mobile phones with support for local languages, it will be of great help for people willing to get information in local languages. With the burgeoning mobile phone market in the country where every second person owns a phone, launching of Bolt is a smart business move.
