the first to sport a 720p display and several other high end features. But does Nitro HD successfully deliver? Check out our exclusive LG Nitro HD review to know what this phone has in store for you.
LG Nitro HD Looks And Design
Nitro HD design is simple, yet it is quite attractive. The rounded corners and the black strip of aluminum surrounding the bezel of the phone give it an elegant look. Although the phone is made up of plastic, the jet back of the phone has a textured finish which makes the phone easy to grip. The phone is quite big measuring 133.9×67.8×10.4mm. It is quite light weighing just 127 grams which makes the phone quite light. LG has used high quality materials in the construction of the phone and as the phone is not so wide, it is quite easy to grip. The soft touch finish of the phone really impressed us. LG has done a fine job in giving the phone a nice look and feel.
LG Nitro HD Display
The display is one of the great features of Nitro HD. The phone is the first Android handset on AT&T’s network which displays a screen capable of displaying pictures of resolution measuring 1280×720 pixels. Nitro has a true HD screen with Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching technology. The colors displayed were sharp and vibrant and watching Youtube and movies was a pleasure on the phone. The viewing angles were great and so were the sunlight legibility of the screen is quite great. The contrast is fairly good and the brightness levels were brilliant. Below the screen, you get three touch sensitive buttons, while above the screen lies the earpiece, light and the proximity sensors. On the top of the display you will find the 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port as well as power/lock button.

LG Nitro HD Keyboard
Nitro HD is packed with a couple of virtual keyboards. Along with the standard Android keyboard, you also get LG’s virtual QWERTY

LG Nitro HD Gallery
The phone uses a standard Android gallery which locates the images and videos wherever they are stored. The 3D effects and the transitions were quite good. The photos can be organized as per date and because of the share feature, you can share photos through Facebook, Twitter, Picasa etc.

LG Nitro HD Camera Performance
Nitro HD is packed with an 8MP autofocus camera with an LED flash. The interface of the camera is quite simple and intuitive. We were a tad disappointed to find that the camera lacks a dedicated camera button and just like most of its features, the camera too performs quite well. The camera features geo-tagging, face and smile detection features. The images captured are nice and the colors which appeared were quite good and vibrant. The contrast and the brightness levels were quite good. The only drawback which we felt was the high level o noise in daylight shots.
