First 4G Phone Available For Sales In Australia

HTC Velocity 4G, the first 4G phone in Australia will be accessible for pre-order online from today. The phone boasts of blazing mobile Images of HTC Velocity 4Ginternet access between 2MB and 40MB per second. Velocity 4G will run on Android Gingerbread OS combined with HTC Sense 3.5. The phone boasts of a massive 4.5 inch HD LCD screen and operations in the device are powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor.

It is quite bulky weighing approximately 164 grams and it also includes an 8MP camera which is also capable of capturing 1080 pixel video.  As of now the phone will not run on 4G VoIP and will rely on 3G networks for them. The phone can be purchased for $ 79 a month or on a 24 month plan for $ 800 which will include calls, MMS and unlimited SMS. It is expected that more 4G phones will join Velocity 4G in coming days. Telstra has hinted that it will bring latest 4G phones which were unveiled in Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 in Las Vegas to Australia very soon.
