ViewSonic is officially announced the ViewSonic Viewpad 7. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, a front-facing VGA webcam and a 3-megapixel rear camera. Also, it will runs with the latest Android 2.2 (Froyo). The Viewpad 7 has an integrated GSM/3G modem for phone and data connectivity. Its also capable to work as a regular Android phone although you might need a bluetooth headset for a more comfort conversation.
Huawei is going to officially announced their first Android 2.2 handset at IFA in Berlin. They will be launching the Huawei Ideos U8150 on September 2, which one day faster than the international consumer electronics show’s debut. Huawei do not made Ideos U8150 as a high-end handset.
Amazon has uploaded a pre-order page for the Archos 32 Android PMP. Details of the device are also included which reveal the device has a 3.2 inch screen with a 400×240 resolution.
Other features include WiFi, 8GB of onboard storage as well as a web-browser and multi-touch support. A camera is also included allowing photos to be captured whilst on the move.

Earlier this week a T-Mobile G2 mini site was launched. The G2 is a step up from the G1 and brings a list of improved features such as a faster processor, more memory, better screen and an updated Android OS. Another feature is that it will be compatible with HSPA+ networks allowing it to receive and send data at 4G speeds on the T-Mobile network.
A couple weeks ago, Sanyo ZIO was announced going to Cricket. And today, the ZIO is available for preorder. The handset will cost you $249.99 and if you order it online, there will be 20% off which sets you on $229.99. The ZIO requires a data plan that cost $55 per month with unlimited voice, text, and data.
Google [GOOG] has sent out invitations to a special mobile event on the 12th of August (tomorrow), where they will ”unveil’ a couple of new mobile features’, which is obviously some new features for their mobile OS Google Android.
There are a number of rumors that Google will announce a new video chat feature for Android, similar to Apple’s FaceTime video feature, and the feature could be built into the Android OS, although this feature is already available on certain Android smartphones.
We have seen quite a few stories recently about smartphone applications that are capable of stealing your private data from your smartphone. A reporter at the BBC wanted to see how easy this would be to do, so he constructed a smartphone application that would send private data from handsets to an email account.
