Nokia has revealed the Nokia C6, the second handset in its new C-series.
Bearing a mini Qwerty keyboard, the Nokia C6 looks a lot like one of the manufacturer’s E-series business phones, but its relatively powerful 5-megapixel camera suggests to us that the C6 has a more mainstream audience in mind.
Skype and Nokia today jointly announced the release of Skype for Symbian, a Skype client for Nokia smartphones based on the Symbian platform, the world’s most popular smartphone platform. Skype for Symbian will allow Nokia smartphone users worldwide to use Skype on the move, over either a WiFi or mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE, 3G). It is now downloadable for free from the Ovi Store, Nokia’s one-stop shop for mobile content.
T-Mobile USA have announced the Nokia 5230 Nuron, the touchscreen smartphone we’ve previously seen as the Nokia 5230 XpressMusic. Packing a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen, full HTML browser and 3G connectivity, the Nuron also delivers Nokia’s Ovi Maps complete with free turn-by-turn navigation and access to Lonely Planet travel guides and other content.
As we supposed they would, Nokia unveiled today the Nokia C5 handset during CeBIT 2010, a smartphone based on social networking and sharing. This compact phone provides access to Nokia’s free navigation service and it’ll be available with a EUR 135 price tag, before taxes.

Today, Vodafone UK has started offering the Nokia X6 16GB, for free with a 2-yr contract of at least £30 per month (600 minutes, 500MB of mobile internet and unlimited texts are included).
Vodafone’s Nokia X6 16GB is preloaded with the Vodafone 360 Homescreen, thus providing access to Vodafone My Web, the 360 Apps and Games Shop, and VIP contacts. The smartphone also lets you access Vodafone Music and download DRM-free songs from a catalogue of more than 5 million titles.
Moreover, the third series of the British comedy show Gavin & Stacey is preloaded on the X6 16GB from Vodafone. And, of course, the handset features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Nokia Maps, and a 5MP autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss lens.
After we’ve seen some shots of Symbian^4, leaked about two weeks ago, it’s time to have a look at two videos showing the platform in action. At the first Nokia Developer Conference in Sydney Australia the Nokia N900 will make its debut on Australian soil, although the actual device will not go on sale in Australia until early April reports an article over on apcmag.
The popular Ovi Maps application developed by Nokia has recently received a new update which marks the version 3.04 and for now it only works in some handsets. Anyway, the small but good list of upgrades includes an improved positioning speed and accuracy, as well as an improved search for cities, which now includes zoom out to the city level. The other update is related to a faster action when doing map zooms.
Take in consideration that this new Ovi Maps version 3.004 only works for S60 devices of the 5th Edition or 3.2, including the E72, 6710 Navigator, and others.
