The big day is finally here for Palm owners waiting to get their taste of webOS 1.4, but it’s still unheard of any webOS owners seeing the light of it. Although the rumor pointed to today as being the release of webOS 1.4, it looks like the changelog for it has been leaked – we hope. The latest update to Palm’s platform hosts a myriad of fixes that’ll put an end to some annoying bugs that plague some handsets. The biggest thing to come out of it is the capability of capturing video – easily something that might have prevented some people from choosing it as their handset of choice. There are also numerous features to expect such as an improved universal search which includes outlook Exchange and corporate address look up. Palm Pre owners should pay extra attention because there’s one exciting feature that’ll affect you the most – webOS 1.4 will add support for Adobe Flash 10 Beta. So far it sounds like no one has been able to get their hands on the update, but we’d suggest to keep on checking every now and then because you never know when Palm will give it the green light.

We already know that AT&T might soon launch the Palm Pre, and it looks like T-Mobile US is also getting ready to introduce a WebOS smartphone.
Unlike AT&T, though, T-Mobile could launch a completely new Palm WebOS device.
According to BGR, the handset resembles the Palm Pixi, and T-Mobile could launch it quite soon – reportedly, the carriers is in “final stages” of preparing the launch.
Unfortunately, details about the features of T-Mo’s upcoming WebOS smartphone are missing, but I guess it will have a touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard.

The ex-Sprint exclusive handset we know as Palm Pre is getting ready to switch carriers and after Verizon started offering Palm Pre Plus, AT&T is now gearing up to launch the Pre. The info comes from Information Week and we also learn that this caused Palm’s stock to rise on Thursday.

Apparently, AT&T will get the Pre in May, but there’s a pretty interesting background story you have to know: Pre and Pixi, the Verizon versions haven’t recorded a great deal of sales. Thus, Palm might be hoping that the AT&T deal will boost its WebOS platform popularity.
Would you give the AT&T Pre a go?

Verizon has just announced the prices of Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus – its first WebOS smartphones, officially unveiled two weeks ago.
As expected, the prices are similar to the prices of Sprint’s Pre and Pixi: $149.99 and $99.99, respectively (both on contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate received “in the form of a debit card”). For $29.99 more, Pixi Plus buyers will even be able to choose from various optional Pixi Touchstone Back Covers (in pink, orange, green, blue and black).
The Pre Plus and Pixi Plus are slightly better than Sprint’s devices: the Pre Plus has double the internal memory and double the RAM (16GB, 512MB), while the Pixi Plus comes with Wi-Fi.
Both handsets feature a built-in 3G Mobile Hotspot that can provide Wi-Fi access to up to other five Wi-Fi capable devices (Verizon offers a 5GB monthly plan at $40 for that).

Palm Pre’s app catalog has been fighting to reach even a fraction of the iPhone app store’s numbers, and they might have just done that now, reached a “fraction”, as there are now over 1,000 apps in the catalog now, about 1% the size of the iPhone app store.
The Pre app catalog was launched in June, meaning it took just a bit over 6 months to reach the 1,000 apps.
