
Announced for T-Mobile USA users previously, Android users can now sign up for Swype in a beta version. The beta version is not for those who already have Swype pre-installed. It supports English and Spanish but comes in limited features as some key features required OEM integration according to Swype. Check out the detail here.

About a year ago, T-Mobile USA introduced Yahoo OneSearch as the default mobile search engine for its phones. But the exclusive deal with Yahoo has ended, and T-Mo didn’t want to extend it.
Instead, the fourth largest US carrier has chosen Google as its mobile search provider. Moreover, it looks like T-Mobile plans to work with Medio Systems, too (which indexes results for content like ringtones and wallpapers).
Reportedly, “Google Search is now active in T-Mobile’s Web2Go platform and home page.”
Even so, Yahoo is still working with T-Mobile USA, providing services like Yahoo Mail, News, Finance, Yahoo Messenger and Flickr.
At the moment, Google also provides mobile search for Sprint in the US. AT&T still works with Yahoo, while Verizon has a partnership with Microsoft.

It’s been a long time coming, AT&T. You’ve been shying away from the Android aircraft carrier like it was the plague, but you’ve changed your ways. And in doing so, you’ve also managed to accept one of the strangest devices to hit the market in recent memory. So, you made a splash with your first Android device. Congratulations. Famous for its java version, the Opera Mini 5 beta has been released in a native version for Windows Mobile 5- and 6-based handsets. The native version does not require Java to run. It comes in the same features as the Java-based version, including tabbed browsing, password manager, bookmarks and Speed Dial.
