Not sure if your HD2 will be provided with an upgrade to Windows Phone 7 OS? At least it has been spotted with Windows Phone 7 installed on Mobile World Congress. According to winmo.nl, it is running with an early build of the new OS. The UI is very responsive and fast, plus it can run the TomTom gps navigation software fine without compatibility issues. It is not sure if TomTom has specially ported over its software for Windows Phone 7. You might be surprise if your old Windows Mobile software could run on the 7.

Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, announced during his keynote address tonight that T-Mobile USA would be getting the HD2 sometime this spring.

We reported on this news a couple weeks ago, except now it’s as official as it could ever be.

This is incredibly exciting news for fans of T-Mobile, since this device has been ALMOST as hyped up over the last four months as the Nexus One. Almost. And both devices will now be available at the carrier. Admittedly, the competition is starting to get intense between all four major US carriers in terms of which devices are being sold.
